So its kinda like New York or Chicago (with those mean streets and impatiently rude citizens) but really a modern space metropolis. I keep hoping the future will be far better than the present- even in the choices of familiar environments which would contribute to an overall sense of security…
Great story and art.
I just have to say, Lady Bitches McBitchpants and Sir Bitchalot over ther there have a lot in common. Maybe they should go to the bar after this and bond over the joys of racism and genocide. That’s my OTP.
Hmmmm, I wonder if she lives in the subs herself. Not encouraging to know others look down on you as much as you did those two you slammed the door on.
A society like that would have sharp economic barriers between the have’s and have-not’s. She lives in the lower parts where life can get really ugly and people are prejudiced for their own survival.
Truly said on both counts! Peggy-Sue now lives in the uppers, as revealed on the next page, but her attitude is that of someone who has something bitter inside.
Hmm. I must have missed it. In her conversation with the Lady Doughnut-Eater it seemed that the LD-E lived in the upper’s while Peggy-Sue had to put up with the lower-level problems.
sounds like we have multiple plot lines moving here… i wonder what her story is and what was in her past… ohhhhh… can’t wait for the next update… and the one after that… and then the one after that… and… GAR!!!!
Egalitarian societies like the one we enjoy now are extremely rare…just move around in time or locale and you’ll find extreme compartmentalization…in the American South West of a hundred years ago, for instance, there was at least ten classes strictly separated…Anglos, French, Spaniards, Jews and six separate Indian nations..all very hostile to each others, Anglos being at the top.
And presently, look at the Japaneses, expelling right now all their nationals BORN IN BRAZIL!!!,
(Even if 100% Japs, tainted by a foreign culture)…Chauvinism, or it’s “religious” version, racism are historically the norm, not the exception.
-Then you put alien races in contact and living in the same place… and the UE people bear-down hard on those “useless, criminally violent” undesirable races, who probably don’t share many of the benefits the human elite enjoy…
She looks unhappy.
You got that right! Thanks for reading!
The character development in your story is great. Nice job!
Thanks JT! Hope you keep reading!

I like taking what I see here in Chi town and using it for inspiration for my comic. Thanks for your thoughts!

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! YES.
